Black Bear Shooting Complex is a private facility located outside of Gladstone, VA on the side of Spears Mountain in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
Here you will find challenging shots backdropped by stunning views with easy walks between stages.

Terrain & Weather

Weather during the event is generally mildly cool and humid, with average highs around 70*F (20*C) and lows in the mid 40’s (8-10*C). Rising fog is common in the mornings, but typically dissipates with the rising of the sun.
Winds can be unpredictable with cross winds cutting across the longer shooting lanes, adding to the event’s challenge. 

Spears Mountain itself is the tallest peak in the county at 1631ft (497m), so you can expect long, unobstructed views with minimal interference. 

Navigating the property is simple and involves casual walks between stages, however we have free shuttles available to transport you and your equipment around the property as needed.
